10-Day Morocco Grand Circuit

A journey with a story.

A varied introduction to Morocco, moving from Marrakech and the High Atlas to the Sahara, Fes and the Atlantic cities. This is an active circuit with several substantial driving stages; we balance them with city exploration, rest breaks and nights arranged around your comfort preferences.

Route: Marrakech → Aït Ben Haddou → Dades Valley → Merzouga → Fes → Rabat → Casablanca → Essaouira → Marrakech

Your day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1 — Welcome to MarrakechAirport pickup and transfer to your selected riad or hotel. Keep the first day flexible around your flight. After your flight, the priority is a smooth arrival and time to settle in. We confirm the nearest accessible drop-off if your riad is inside the medina. Depending on arrival time, keep the evening for a relaxed meal or a short independent walk; no fixed sightseeing is needed today.
2. Day 2 — Marrakech in depthExplore the medina, gardens and heritage sites with a local guide if included. Reserved attractions and tickets are arranged in advance. Discuss your priorities with your guide before setting out: architecture, souks, gardens or local food. A walking programme can be balanced with private transfers between more distant stops. Majorelle and other timed-entry visits need separate reservations; the final programme follows the tickets you confirm.
3. Day 3 — Across the Atlas to DadesVisit Aït Ben Haddou en route to the Dades Valley. This is a full sightseeing and driving day. The mountain crossing is part of the experience, so allow for road conditions, comfort stops and a lunch break. At Aït Ben Haddou, choose a gentle visit or a longer walk through the village. Continue to the Dades area and settle into the hotel category agreed for your trip.
4. Day 4 — Todra Gorge & the SaharaContinue via Todra to Merzouga for your chosen camp experience and evening among the dunes. Enjoy a short walk in the gorge before travelling onwards to the dunes. Your arrival arrangements specify a camel ride or vehicle transfer, your camp standard and the meals included. Tell us about mobility or dietary needs early so the desert night is comfortable for your group.
5. Day 5 — Merzouga → FesA long road journey through the Ziz Valley and Middle Atlas region, with regular breaks and arrival in Fes. Leave after breakfast for one of the longer transfers of the circuit. Watch the landscape change from the desert fringe to mountain country, with breaks agreed throughout the day. Sightseeing is kept light so the focus stays on a comfortable journey and settling into Fes.
6. Day 6 — Historic FesExplore the medina, craft quarters and selected monuments with a local specialist. Add Mellah visits if this interests you. Give Fes a full day with a guide who can connect the medina’s architecture, workshops and neighbourhoods. Visits are chosen around your interests and the day’s opening arrangements. Allow a lunch break and quieter pauses; any shopping stops should remain optional.
7. Day 7 — Fes → Meknes → RabatTravel west with an imperial-city stop, then reach the capital for the night. The final stops depend on opening times. Travel towards Meknes for a selected heritage visit, then continue to Rabat. The stop is planned around the total distance rather than a long list of monuments. After checking in, enjoy the evening independently or ask for a restaurant suggestion that suits your preferences.
8. Day 8 — Rabat → Casablanca → EssaouiraA long Atlantic travel day with a selected Casablanca stop. Arrive at the coast for the evening. This is a substantial road day: select one main Casablanca visit rather than attempting a complete city tour. A mosque interior visit requires a confirmed slot. Lunch and rest breaks are planned before the onward journey to Essaouira, with arrival and dinner kept flexible.
9. Day 9 — Essaouira → MarrakechEnjoy the harbour and medina before returning to Marrakech in the afternoon. Start with time in Essaouira’s medina and harbour area, then meet your driver for the return to Marrakech. Let us know if you prefer more coastal time or an earlier hotel arrival. Your last evening is free for a favourite restaurant, final shopping or simply resting.
10. Day 10 — DepartureTransfer to the agreed airport around your flight time, with a final check of luggage and pickup details. Your airport transfer is planned around the flight details you supply and the agreed hotel pickup point. Check luggage and travel documents before departure. Extra nights, a different departure airport or a final sightseeing stop can be quoted in advance if your schedule allows.
