Take the longer road through Morocco: Marrakech, the Atlantic coast, imperial cities, the blue lanes of Chefchaouen and the Sahara. Two weeks allow slower stays in Essaouira and Chefchaouen, a full day around the dunes and time to enjoy the contrasts between each region.

Your day-by-day itinerary

1. Day 1 — Arrival in MarrakechMeet your driver and settle into your accommodation. Your flight sets the rhythm today. Meet your driver, reach your hotel or the agreed riad access point and take time to settle in. Keep any evening plans optional so the journey begins comfortably, even if the flight arrives later than expected.
2. Day 2 — The red cityDiscover the medina and selected gardens with a local guide if requested. Build the day around the places you most want to see: the medina, palaces, gardens or craft traditions. A local guide can turn a walk into a more rewarding introduction to the city. Tickets, lunch and the balance of walking and driving are agreed in your plan.
3. Day 3 — Marrakech → EssaouiraDrive to the Atlantic coast with time to explore the port. Leave Marrakech for the coast with a comfort break en route. On arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy an introductory walk near the harbour or medina. An optional cooperative visit can be arranged along the road without making shopping part of the day.
4. Day 4 — Essaouira at leisureEnjoy a full day for coastal walks, art galleries and the medina. Enjoy a slower coastal day after the previous journeys. Browse galleries, walk the medina lanes or spend time beside the Atlantic. A heritage guide, surf session or other activity can be requested separately; the day also works well with no scheduled programme.
5. Day 5 — Essaouira → CasablancaContinue along the Atlantic corridor with rest stops and a city overnight. Travel north with regular breaks and a lunch stop. This stage connects two very different coastal cities, so avoid packing the arrival evening with appointments. Your hotel location and any dinner arrangements are confirmed before departure from Essaouira.
6. Day 6 — Casablanca → RabatExplore selected Casablanca landmarks, then continue to the capital. Choose a small number of Casablanca highlights before continuing to Rabat. If a Hassan II Mosque interior visit matters to you, request it in advance. In the capital, the remaining time can be used for a gentle walk around the Oudayas area or simply settling in.
7. Day 7 — Rabat → ChefchaouenTravel north to the Rif Mountains and the blue-painted medina. After breakfast, travel towards the Rif with breaks along the way. Reach Chefchaouen and check into your accommodation before exploring the nearby lanes. Some hotels involve steps or a walk from the vehicle; tell us about mobility needs when choosing where to stay.
8. Day 8 — Chefchaouen slowlyA relaxed day to walk, photograph and enjoy the town at your own pace. Keep a full day for the blue medina at your own pace. A local guide can introduce its neighbourhoods before you continue independently. Leave time for cafés, crafts and photographs while respecting residents’ privacy; longer walks outside town can be requested separately.
9. Day 9 — Chefchaouen → FesTravel to Fes and settle into your riad or hotel. Continue south towards Fes, with a lunch or comfort stop as needed. Arriving without a full sightseeing schedule gives you time to rest and prepare for the following day. If your riad is in the pedestrian medina, the final access arrangements are agreed in advance.
10. Day 10 — Fes heritageA full day of medina history, crafts and optional Jewish heritage visits. Explore Fes with a local specialist, balancing historic sites and working neighbourhoods. Ask to include the Mellah or focus on architecture and craftsmanship. Admission fees, guiding language and lunch are confirmed in your quote; shopping is always your choice.
11. Day 11 — Fes → MerzougaTravel through the Middle Atlas and Ziz Valley. This is a long driving day. This is a full driving day through changing mountain and valley scenery. Plan an early start, several breaks and an unhurried lunch stop. Your confirmed itinerary explains whether the first Merzouga night is at a hotel or camp and how the camp transfer is organised.
12. Day 12 — Sahara daySpend time around the dunes and request optional local experiences. Your quote specifies hotel and camp nights. After sunrise and breakfast, choose a relaxed day or a prearranged outing around the dune region. Village visits, local music and motorised activities are possibilities rather than automatic inclusions. Keep the afternoon flexible and confirm the evening’s hotel or camp arrangement.
13. Day 13 — Merzouga → Todra → DadesLeave the desert for the gorges, with a Dades-area overnight. Leave the dunes behind and travel towards Todra for a walk or scenic stop, then continue to Dades. Your driver plans the day around the route, weather and your preferred pace. Arrive at the selected accommodation with time to rest before dinner.
14. Day 14 — Dades → Aït Ben Haddou → MarrakechVisit selected southern landmarks before crossing the High Atlas. Travel through southern scenery towards Aït Ben Haddou, allowing time for a focused walking visit and lunch. The return over the Atlas is a substantial final touring stage. Plan a quiet evening in Marrakech and keep your onward flight for the following day.
15. Day 15 — DeparturePrivate transfer to your agreed airport. Enjoy breakfast if your flight time allows, then take your private airport transfer. Confirm the pickup point and luggage arrangements the evening before. If you would like a longer stay in Marrakech or a different departure city, we can revise the programme before confirmation.
